Co-Owners
Jason Roehrich
Jason received his HVAC degree from Southeast Technical Institute. He started his career at Active Heating as a service technician and project foreman, gaining valuable experience for his transition to management. Jason specializes in commercial and residential job estimates and project management. He is an active member of the Watertown Lions Club and serves on the Board of Directors of the Codington County Pro Pheasants. Jason is also a member of Holy Name Parish. When he’s not at work, Jason enjoys getting outdoors, fishing, hunting, and golfing as well as spending time with his friends and family (Valerie, Brynn, and Faith).
Dustin Flatten
Dustin graduated from Augustana College with degrees in Professional Accountancy and Business Administration. Before joining the team at Active Heating, he practiced as a CPA, specializing in business and personal income taxation. Dustin’s passion for business and people helps him lead the team at Active Heating to constantly improve our service to customers, employees, and our community. He serves on the Boards of Directors for the Watertown Development Co. and Watertown Baseball Association and is a member of the Watertown Rotary and Holy Name Parish. Dustin loves being a volunteer youth baseball coach and spends his free time hunting, coaching youth sports, and spending time with his friends and family (Jenny, Max, and Wilkes).
Founder
Don Roehrich
Don founded Active Heating, Inc. in 1978 after receiving his HVAC degree from Wahpeton Community College and working as a service technician in the field. Don’s experience brings a wide range of expertise to the company, from commercial HVAC to residential design and service. He has been very active in the communities we serve as a member of the Watertown Development Co. Board of Directors, a member of Holy Name Parish, and a member of various civic organizations over the years. In his semi-retirement, Don enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Janet, children, and grandchildren.
